The new school year has started. It’s time to utilize a few delicious food “hacks” around the kitchen to make the day a little easier. Whether they’re able to go full time to their school, have a hybrid schedule, or they’re homeschooled, every parent needs a little help figuring out snacks and meals with busy schedules in your brand new kitchen designed by Bella Casa Kitchen & Bath. Here are a few of our favorites!

Oatmeal Bowl

● A Smoothie Bowl: Smoothie bowls are a great alternative to cereal! Frozen fruit gives the best results. A great flavor would be strawberries, banana, mangoes, and milk of your choice. Sprinkle in some granola and fresh berry toppings for a finishing touch.

● BLT Lettuce Wrap: Looking for a quick but filling meal? The BLT wrap is the answer. You can use frozen bacon you get from the store or cook up bacon and freeze it yourself. Both are very quick to cook up. With a romaine lettuce leaf, wrap-up the bacon and your favorite veggies. We usually go with chopped up grape tomatoes for the right amount of crunch and juicy flavor.

● Avocado Toast: There are several avocado toast versions, making it not only delicious but extremely customizable. You can have plain bread with smashed up avocados. You can also use a slice of sourdough bread with a thin layer of cream cheese and mashed up avocado. No matter what type of bread you use, the avocado will always taste good.

● Tomato Sandwiches: A tomato sandwich is yet another fast, but deliciously healthy meal. You’ll need two slices of your favorite bread, a thin layer of mayo, and a couple of slices of heirloom tomatoes. If you want a little bit of crunch, add in some lettuce too!
